This is a subscription/retainer package of a minimum of ten hours per month with Sandra Leigh Lester, a leading sustainable design expert, with thirty-five years of experience working on award-winning projects on five continents.

Sandra is highly qualified, and has been a Registered Interior Designer since 2001. She is also Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, Certified Passive House Designer, LEED-accredited Professional with a Specialty in Building Design and Construction, as well as a CHEK Level 3 Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Sandra has volunteered as a Member of ARIDO's Sustainable Design Committee and as a Board Director at the nonprofit, Rethink Sustainability Initiatives.

As a Designer with a unique set of skills and over thirty-five years of experience, Sandra is able to disseminate complex problems, bring proposed solutions forward to design teams, and push them towards achieving ambition goals, no matter what stage of their project. Her perspective has been able to enable design teams earn more than seventy awards as top-performing in energy efficiency and leaders in health and sustainability.

Her expertise is in diverse areas, including interior design, materials science, architectural design, building science, strategy mobilization, and project management. Sandra provides design consulting advice, delivers sustainability strategy, facilitates design charrettes, and provides project management services.

Key projects include:
  • Boyne River Ecology Centre (achieving Net Zero with renewable energy sources, and self sufficient in water in 1992);
  • Humber River Hospital (second most energy efficient acute care hospital in the world);
  • Development of Colleges Ontario’s Net Zero Plan and reporting systems;
  • Ontario’s GHG Campus Retrofit Program; and the
  • TAF Towerwise Prototype Deep Retrofit Project (Winner of a prestigious 2021 Clean50 Top Project Award).

Credentials include: Bachelors of Technology in Architectural Science, Toronto Metropolitan University; Masters Certificate in Organizational Development and Change Management, York University; and post-graduate studies in Greenhouse Gas Management at George Washington University.

This is a subscription/retainer package of a minimum of ten hours per month that has limited availability. The consulting work will be delivered as per the terms of our Project Service Agreement, which will be sent for your signature upon purchase.
Additional hours are available for purchase upon request. All work will be delivered on-time and on-budget.
